The answer is . . . You have to know how each employee team member "ticks" - or in other words - how each "sees" their world through their Behaviors, Values, and Attributes.

At The Rainmaker Group we take a different approach to employee coaching and mentoring efforts. We understand that each individual is different and that the methods chosen to help that individual reach his or her full potential should be different as well.

Following are five key "ingredients" to develop a customized employee performance coaching plan.

  1. Identify Job Fit - compare each employee team member's Personality Profile to the Job Benchmark to identify Job Fit and natural coaching opportunities.
  2. Identify Behavioral Mismatch - Which Behaviors are contributing to the coaching area of concern? How can you improve results with the employee that constantly overlooks words from authority? Which Behaviors deserve employee recognition? Is the "Behavioral Flexing" too great to reasonably expect improved employee performance?
  3. Identify Values Mismatch - Which Values are potentially contributing to the coaching area of concern?  Which "Values Buttons" need to be "pushed" to create increased motivation for performance? What "language" needs to be used to create motivation?
  4. Identify Attribute Issues - How does the employee "see" their world? How do they understand others, understand their job, and understand systems? How clear are they about themselves, their role in the world, and their future? What may be contributing or reducing employee performance?
  5. Develop a Customized Performance Coaching Plan - With the identification of the Job Fit as well as the individual Behaviors, Values, and Attributes, we can identify a customized coaching plan for your team and each individual.
